Homelessness can affect anyone. The school has funds to supply homeless students with items, but some items are needed immediately and can not wait for the funds to be available. If you would like to help, above is a link to the wish list for our homeless students.

Welcome Danielle Schafer

My name is Danielle Schafer I am a student currently getting my bachelor's in social work at Saginaw Valley State University. I was accepted into the accelerated program starting in May to get my master's as well at Saginaw Valley State University. I love working with kids and creating a fun and warm environment for them to be themselves and be comfortable with their emotions, behaviors, and feelings. I am a big fan of animals and activities to do with the outdoors. I played women’s rugby in college, love to stay active, and love anything to do with sports. In my spare time, I am either wedding planning for my fall wedding or I am spending quality time with friends and family. I hope one day to become a coach in the future to inspire and push children to their highest potential. I am super excited about this opportunity and ready to join the Wolverine family.

Michigan School Meals

Vestaburg Community Schools is excited to offer FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH to all enrolled students again this school year thanks to the Michigan Healthy School Meals Program! Even though meals will be provided for free, it is important for families to continue sharing household income information on the Education Benefit Form in order for our schools to receive full access to federal and state funding for educational programs that our students are entitled to. If you have not filled out the Education Benefit Form please stop by one of our offices and get that done today.

Hello everyone! My name is Lesley Garvey and I am thrilled to be starting as a 3rd grade teacher here at Vestaburg.  I currently reside with my two (high school aged, 10th and 12th grade) kids in Greenville, Michigan where I was born and raised. I graduated from Greenville High School then attended Central Michigan University for a short time to complete some classes for general studies.  After having my children, I attended Academy of Art University where I obtained an associate's degree and started my own photography business, Pink Boots Photography.  I also started working for Greenville Public Schools as a paraprofessional, substitute teacher, and associate teacher.  This was when I fell in love with working at the school and working with students.  I knew then I wanted to become a teacher.  During this time I completed my CDA (Child Development Associate) and began to pursue my journey of obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Education degree.  I completed my degree with Grand Canyon University this past May.  This past summer I worked as a 5th grade summer school teacher at Greenville Public Schools and now I’m here at Vestaburg.
In my spare time, I enjoy photography, reading, and spending time with my family whether it'd be watching my kids play sports, going on trips, playing games, or having a movie night with pizza.  *Picture below with my family ~ Me, Drew, Isabelle, and my guy~Steven.

I love to travel, spend time with friends and family, and watch or coach sports. I am very out going, creative, and determined with everything I do. I am excited to bring new ideas to the table while also learning from the amazing people I will be working with!

Welcome Dawn Scharaswak, a paraprofessional at Vestaburg and supports our students.

I'm a wife of a loving and supportive husband and mother to 3 beautiful girls. I love spending time with my family and furbabies. We love being outside, especially in the summertime.
