If I vote yes will my taxes increase?

A yes vote does not increase your yearly taxes.  It extends the payments from 2032 to 2045.

If I vote no will my taxes decrease?

A no vote will not change your tax payments. 

How much money will this bond produce for the school district?

This bond will generate approximately $9.18 million.

If the bond doesn't pass what's the next step?

If the bond does not pass, then the staff and the committee will meet with community members to determine if making changes in the proposal would  make a difference. 

When do I vote?

Tuesday, May 5, 2009 is the date the vote is scheduled.

How old do I need to be to vote?

18 on or before May 5, 2009.

Who can vote?

Anyone who is 18 or older and is a registered voter.  You only need to register once.  You must register by April 6, 2009.

Where do I vote?

Richland Township and Seville Township residents at the Richland Township hall in Vestaburg.  Day, Ferris, Fremont, and Lincoln vote in their own Township.

When will construction start?

The first part of construction will be starting the new football field.  The schedule is to play one more season on the existing football field and then divide the field up into parking lots, physical education field, and bus drop off and pick-up.  Some of the construction will begin next year.  Most will be done in the spring of 2010.

When will construction end?

The construction should be finished by the end of 2010 if there are no problems. 

Who is in charge of the construction?

The Board of Education is in charge.  They have hired a construction manager from Triangle Construction and Architects from C2AE.  It is our goal to get as many local builders on the job that qualify.
