How was the need for the Bond identified?

At the November 10, 2007 board meeting, the members of the board requested a community, staff, and board committee to study the needs of the school district. The committee concerns were safety of students, a need for updating technology, and improving the appearance of the buildings.

On June 4, 2008 the board voted to work with Technical Energy Solution (TES). TES completed a study of the school's energy needs. They found our buildings are under-iinsulated and poorly illuminated. TES began the installation of new boilers in the middle and elementary buildings and bus garage, new energy efficient lighting through the buildings.

Triangle Associates were hired as construction managers on August 18, 2008, with C2AE, architect, soon after. Building committee meetings and community input meetings were held weekly. District needs were prioritized and preliminary drawings were developed by C2AE
