Dear Parents and Students:
It is with great enthusiasm that Vestaburg Community School requests your FREE support in our new funding alternative. We are participating in a program called ETCEP, otherwise known as Educational Technology and Conservation Exchange Program. ETCEP provides an opportunity for schools and their communities to save empty laser, inkjet, and toner cartridges along with cell phones in exchange for over 5000 free hardware and software technology products. As you may already know, Vestaburg Community School needs to continue to update our computer technology. With over 275 million cartridges thrown away last year alone, we hope to be able to tap into the resource for our classrooms.Laser and inkjet cartridges are found in printers, fax machines and desktop copiers at homes and businesses. Your place of employment can support us by registering for the ETCEP Adopt-A-School Program. By adopting Vestaburg Community School, companies pledge their empty cartridges to the school. There is never a cost involved in participating and free, prepaid shipping boxes are sent to return collected cartridges.
Interested companies can register online at www.etcep.com/ETCEP/support.aspThe Vestaburg Community School ID# is 7280For the community’s convenience, cartridge drop-off sites have been set up at Vestaburg Community School’s Middle/Elementary Office and at the High School Office.
Your support of the ETCEP Program will help teach our children that recycling makes dollars and sense. Perhaps more important, your support will provide greatly needed technology to our classrooms without imposing an additional financial burden on our taxpayers. To learn more about supporting Vestaburg Community School, please call Lindsey Shelden, Director of Technology, at 989-268-5343.
