New MHSAA Physical Procedure for the 2020-21 School Year
MHSAA is offering some flexibility on physicals this year since many people do not feel comfortable going to a doctor or cannot get an appointment. Here is a summary for you:
Any student who has a valid physical on file (one completed on or after 4/15/19) just has to complete and submit the MHSAA Health Questionnaire to be eligible to participate in athletics.
The health questionnaire still must be submitted to the school (just like a physical in most years) before an athlete is eligible to participate
The school does have the right to require a student to get a physical if deemed necessary for the athlete's safety
The MHSAA health questionnaire is very similar to the typical MHSAA physical form and will take the place of it for this year. Our process for collecting will be the same and all players will still have to have this form, as well as last year's valid physical, on file before participating in any athletic tryouts, practices, contests, etc.
