Preschool Update
The preschool students received a scholarship from Bank of America that has funded their February field trip to the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum. The scholarship covers the admission of all 32 students and the 11 included chaperones. Special thank you to Bank of America and the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum.
Karen Gostomski, Vestaburg Preschool Teacher has been invited to the Northern Michigan Early Childhood Conference as one of their presenters. Mrs. Gostomski will present on discipline and organizational strategies for early childhood classrooms, daycares and parent/child relations in Marquette, Michigan on April 15th and 16th. Mrs. Gostomski has been part of our teacher assistance and student assistance teams that work toward developing positive classroom behaviors and environments with our staff and children for many years. Mrs. Gostomski plans to use her classroom knowledge and training to bring the positive relationship building techniques learned through work with our children at Vestaburg to the educators attending the April conference.

Vestaburg’s Preschool is part of a collaborative recruitment effort with Headstart. We are working to get every single child, turning four by December 1st, 2012 into a quality program. By working in collaboration, we can determine the programming that best fits your child and your family. Please join us on May 11th between 8 am and 3 pm to sign up. You may call our office 989-268-5284 to have Mrs. Gates add your child to the list of children we plan to see on May 11th.
