Title 1
Title 1 is the nation’s oldest and largest federally funded program. Annually, it porvides over $7 billion to school systems across the country. Vestaburg Community Schools receives a portion of the funds. The funds are used to assist in meeting student’s educational goals.
Title 1 funds can be used to improve curriculum, instructional activitied, counseling, parental involvement, increase staff and program improvement. Title 1 funds typically support supplemental instruction in reading and math. Annually, this program reaches over six million students across the country, primarily in the elementary grades.
We would like to invite you to a Title One informational meeting on Wednesday, October 12, 2011. The meeting will be at 3:15pm in the elementary media center. This is our annual meeting that provides more information on:

*How we identify students for title 1
*What programs or interventions are used in Title 1
*Answers to questions you may have regarding Title 1
