The Vestaburg Community School Band program entertained the community on Tuesday May15th and then the lower elementary delighted us on Wednesday May 16th. Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Stephanie Smith on another brilliant year of music at Vestaburg and continue to support our many fine musicians and vocalists.

As warm weather arrives and the end of the school year becomes closer there is a tendency to get that old proverbial “Spring Fever”. However, as parents and/or students it important to remember that there are still many important lessons and weeks of school to focus on. Furthermore, as activities such as Prom and Graduation draw near please keep in mind importance of being safe. Parents, please stress the importance of acting responsible to your child both in and out of the classroom. Spring is a great time of the year, lets enjoy it in a safe and responsible manner.
The Vestaburg Community School has posted an RFP for mowing effective April-November 2012. The RFP and Bidding Instructions can be picked up at the central office.
The V.C.S. Bullying Task Force will be holding its next meeting on March 26th in the Elementary Media Center at 3:10 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. Attached is a presentation from the previous meeting regarding new legislation and the definition of bullying.

Tablets have Arrived!
Several teachers have begun work with the new Asus transformer as they begin to develop ideas and practice using these tools to change the way they teach and children learn. Phase two of the pilot program will begin in September when roughly 200 student devices are in the hands of our students.
