Description: Students will become effective members of their families and peer groups, and better citizens of their school and community. They will learn current topics such as health/wellness, mental health, caring for the elderly, resolving conflicts, protecting the environment, career information, and self esteem building. They will also be able to identify cultural exchange, ways of caring, how to build success, technology, community resources, insurance/investment/banking, civic responsibility, and other daily tasks that one needs to know in adult life.

Description: Students will develop the essential skills necessary to meet the demands of life during the first five years after high school and beyond. They will get a positive approach to communications, conflict resolution, decision-making and management. They will also get further development of relationship skills, health and wellness habits, essential consumer skills, and foundational career skills. Students will also get and understanding for interpersonal relationships including families and society, balancing work and family, conflict resolution, divorce, financial problems, death, family violence, substance abuse, building a strong marriage, and many more.

Description: Students will examine perspectives in nutrition including-metabolism, energy balance, weight control, vitamins, minerals, and nutrition. This class provides practical applications in the life cycle and putting nutrition knowledge into practice.
