Description: The learner will be introduced to journalism, including news and feature writing, editing, design, and photography, advertising and the use of several programs including, but not limited to Photoshop CS, Pagemaker 7.0, InDesign CS, and Illustrator CS. The learners work as a team, meeting real-world deadlines to produce the Wolverine yearbook. Desktop publishing will be introduced, as will several fundraising opportunities. In order to meet all deadlines, working on publications before or after school is a requirement of the course. Students who show interest, initiative, and who prove to be reliable may be selected to work as editors on the publication. The skills learned and developed in Publications are those that can be used throughout one's life.

Description: The learner will continue and expand knowledge from prior year. They will also get added responsibilities, such as athletic programs, award programs, and senior power point presentation. They have increased responsibilities and are expected to help inexperienced classmates. They will be responsible for making sure layouts are done correctly, linked and all spelling and grammer is perfect.
