Every year, vampyric pupils from the alleged House of Night Academy pick humans from the outside world whom they 'mark' for possible admission into the school the following year, where they will under go the 'change' and train to become adult vampyres. Zoey Redbird is one of the fortunate few to be marked, and is admitted into the academy the following year. However, upon entrance into the school Zoey quickly learns that she may be more than the average fledgling.
Zoey Redbird has finally managed to settle in to the House of Night. She has several close friends, has come to terms with the Vampyre godess, Nyx, and actually has a steady relationship with her boyfriend. All seems to be going well until Zoey begins to suspect that there is a traitor within the House of Night, and worst of all, it could be one of her closest friends.
Zoey Redbird has a few problems at her school, the House of Night. Most of her friends have turned their back on her, and her best friend is...dead, well undead, to put it correctly. Regardless, Zoey is in for an interesting year at the House of Night.
At the House of Night, Zoey has problems. She has no boyfriend, her friends have once again turned their back on her because she lied to them, and these nasty little creatures that take the form of Ravens have been showing up around town. Something strange is going on inside the House of Night.
An attractive young man has a crush on Zoey, but unfortunatly he holds a secret--an evil secret, and Neferet brings a powerful new evil to face which throws the House of Night into even more danger.
